Hugo, a young Portuguese air-traffic controller in an isolated island of the Azores archipelago is getting ready for a slow night shift when he receives an emergency signal from a lost plane. On the other side of the radio, James a 62 years old Scottish pilot flying solo across the Atlantic, has lost his navigational instruments and has been flying blind for the past two hours.As the engagement with the lone pilot unfolds, it emerges that their new found friendship will not last through the night.
